To know the history, purpose, and destiny of the Relief Society
Prayer has power. Do we understand what can really happen when we sincerely pray for one another? It’s through prayers that miracles happen. Prayers bring us together as we share one purpose. Prayer strengthens those who offer it as well as those who receive it. We have a prayer roll in the temple. We pray […]
Mormon women fought for suffrage, and this is their story. Several bills, in Washington D.C., were created to stop the Mormons from living in polygamy. Many national government leaders clearly wanted to rid themselves of the Mormons and their strange ways, particularly in the area of polygamy. It was believed women were being forced against their will, and […]
The Woman’s Exponent was started in the Salt Lake Valley. In the 19th century, it was one of three newspapers, written by and for women, in the west. It was never a church publication. Women used this newspaper as a forum to teach, motivate, and advertise to the local women such gatherings as Woman’s Suffrage, […]

Again, if you are doing something more exciting than […]
The Relief Society program, which changed in the last few years, is still trying to find its way. I hear of women still trying to figure it out. So, if your Relief Society is running smoothly I seriously want to hear from you. It seems to me that when Pres. Hinckley wrote the book Standing […]
What is the difference between our Relief Society and a Society organized by a bunch of women? With all the truth we have been flooded with, what are we, as women of God, doing with it? I have learned for myself this answer: We are in partnership with the men to bring exaltation to all […]
Do you have a Gift of the Spirit? Have you nurtured it, practiced it, used it for good? Many gifts of the spirit are listed in the scriptures, but I would guess there are more to be considered. I will begin the list, but I would like to see us all add to this list. […]
The Book of Mormon parallels the time of the restoration to the end of the Millennium or the celestialization of the earth. Book of Mormon Lehi – Father, Patriarch and had Vision of the Tree of Life Nephi – Younger son, Prophet, King or Governor of the land Mosiah I – Lead exodus to […]
