When Joseph Smith \u201cturned the key\u201d and gave POWER to the women, what exactly did that mean?\u00a0 For what are we to use that power for?\u00a0 What is expected of us?\u00a0 I just have a few thoughts:
\nPower unto Authority \u2013 We were given the authority to act in God\u2019s name.\u00a0 As women develop programs, bless the lives of people, perform acts of charity all over the world, we are doing it in God\u2019s name and we know He sanctions our actions.\u00a0\u00a0 We can think outside the box, like so many of our earlier sisters did, to supply needs and support to our personal family, ward family, and world family.
\nPower unto Faith \u2013 They say if we have enough faith, we have the ability to move mountains.\u00a0 Women have done so.\u00a0 Miracles happen on a daily basis.\u00a0 Personal revelation propels us to do good, even when we hesitate, but move forward\u2026in faith.
\nPower unto Prayer \u2013 When a woman prays for her child, the Lord listens carefully.\u00a0 When many women pray over a nation, hearts can be softened.\u00a0
\nPower unto Salvation \u2013 Women have a responsibility, as do the men, to bring salvation to the inhabitants of the world.\u00a0 Our natural ability towards compassion and charity can stretch over the hearts of the hardest people and make a difference.\u00a0 Our influence can enrich people\u2019s lives.\u00a0 Our love can surround the despondent.\u00a0
\nWe, as Women of God, have been called to perform a work.\u00a0 To help in bringing to pass the immortality and eternal life of mankind.\u00a0 We are like unto Enoch, capable of turning the hearts of even the most wicked, because we have been given the power to do so.\u00a0 We not only have the power to raise our children in righteousness, we have power to impact our friends lives, inspire good works, and love people into loving themselves.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
