Let\u2019s examine the word stone or rock in Hebrew, it is eben\u00a0<\/span>and looks like this:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u05d0\u05d1\u05df<\/span><\/p>\n

The Aleph, <\/span>\u05d0 , is the first character in the Hebrew alphabet and represents God or Heavenly Father.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Bet, <\/span>\u05d1 , combined with the Nun, <\/span>\u05df , means Son in Hebrew or Jesus Christ.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hence, stone in Hebrew means the Father and the Son.<\/span><\/p>\n

So when we are told in the New Testament (Luke 6:48) to build our house on a rock and not sand, we should build them on a foundation made up of the Father and the Son.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another example in the New Testament is when Christ tells Peter in Matt 16:18<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this <\/span>rock<\/span>\u00a0I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Interestingly, Peter, in Greek, means rock.
