The rod is the word of God and in this case means the covenant between man and God.<\/p>\n<p>The Bet, \u05d1, symbolically represents the blessing and\/or the house of God or the temple.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, heart in Hebrew symbolically says that our heart should be centered in the covenants and word of God as taught in the temple.
