I belong to a challenge group of fiber artists where we take a word and depict it in art.\u00a0 This month\u2019s word is CHAOS.\u00a0 It seems an easy enough word.\u00a0 Just throw a bunch of fabric together, make a mess of it, and call it good.<\/div>\n

My first thought was to do just that (in an artful way, of course).\u00a0 But then I took a walk in the woods and saw God\u2019s type of chaos.\u00a0 That got me thinking.<\/p>\n

The word\u00a0 CHAOS\u00a0 is typically never good.\u00a0 It usually means that things have gotten way out of hand and you have totally given up.<\/p>\n

In the woods I found chaos, but there was a beauty and order in it.\u00a0 My thoughts went to Jurassic Park and Chaos Theory; that concept really intrigues me.\u00a0 Chaos Theory means that nature finds the right way even when everything else goes wrong.<\/p>\n

Does that sound familiar to you?\u00a0 It should.\u00a0 It also could be called the Plan of Salvation.\u00a0 Our Heavenly Father sent us down to earth armored with knowledge, covenants, and His Spirit.\u00a0 He prepped us with the fact that earth life was not going to be easy; in fact, it was meant to be hard and possibly even lead us astray.\u00a0 But He had faith in us to choose Him again, and we apparently, having chosen Him once, were convinced we could show Him that we could choose Him a second time.\u00a0 Boy, we had no idea, did we?<\/p>\n

This world is a battlefield.\u00a0 The very nature is chaos.\u00a0 Life is not meant to be peaceful, smooth, or safe.\u00a0 We are all fighting for our lives here; our eternal life.<\/p>\n

While God has prepared this world for us and allowed it to be full of chaos, ultimately, this world will bring us happiness, because it follows a set of laws that even God can\u2019t break.\u00a0 Motion has already been set that leads the way to eventual happiness.\u00a0 Nature will indeed find that way.<\/p>\n

In addition to all of this designed arrangement is Satan.\u00a0 He has a counterfeit for everything, including Chaos.\u00a0 His kind of chaos is definitely out of control.\u00a0 He has no purpose other than destroying our souls.\u00a0 When we get caught up in his chaotic world, he waits for us to fill our lives with sin, give up,\u00a0and succumb to his power.\u00a0 As I understand it, his eternity is going to be cold, empty, and silent.\u00a0 The chaos, however, will remain in our head as we remember our original choice, and how we didn\u2019t make that same choice the second time.<\/p>\n

Just remember, it is natural for\u00a0life to be hard.\u00a0 If life gets too hard, we need to make sure it\u2019s not man-made because of sin.\u00a0 Yes, God grants peace on this earth, but that gift comes with a distinct understanding of the difference between the two forces.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
