{"id":335,"date":"2009-01-02T18:28:15","date_gmt":"2009-01-03T00:28:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ldswomenofgod.com\/blog\/?p=335"},"modified":"2012-03-31T11:45:38","modified_gmt":"2012-03-31T17:45:38","slug":"goal-4-good-and-humanitarian-works","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.reliefsocietywomen.com\/blog\/2009\/01\/02\/goal-4-good-and-humanitarian-works\/","title":{"rendered":"GOAL #4 GOOD AND HUMANITARIAN WORKS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019ve selected what I think are the greatest concerns we, as women of the church, should be focusing on.\u00a0 I realize this is a bold statement and I welcome any additions to this list.\u00a0 But if you agree with me, please comment and share your experiences.\u00a0 I am posting them as separate goals, and they are not in any particular order, because I feel they are all equally important.<br \/>\nGOAL #4\u00a0\u00a0 GOOD AND HUMANITARIAN WORKS<br \/>\nThis is an area we are naturally good at, and much good has come from various projects we\u2019ve all participated in.<br \/>\nI\u2019ve heard of lots of community groups out there doing good, but typically they will focus on one type of project or one area of service.\u00a0 They can\u2019t afford to spread themselves thin, because of their small numbers.<br \/>\nThere are over 5 million of us and we live everywhere in the world.\u00a0 We can afford to cover any number of projects and areas of service.\u00a0 Each ward and stake can focus on their own humanitarian project.\u00a0 As well, each ward and stake can handle their own welfare projects.\u00a0 We have an immense capacity to perform good works that can touch every walk of life.<br \/>\nWe are truly a \u2013Relief\u2014Society when we bring relief to neighbors from around the corner to those around the world.\u00a0 Over the many years we\u2019ve been doing this, our organization and experience is met with awe and inspiration.<br \/>\nHumanitarian services will never end;
