I\u2019ve selected what I think are the greatest concerns we, as women of the church, should be focusing on.\u00a0 I realize this is a bold statement and I welcome any additions to this list.\u00a0 But if you agree with me, please comment and share your experiences.\u00a0 I am posting them as separate goals, and they are not in any particular order, because I feel they are all equally important.
\nGOAL #2\u00a0 OUR INDIVIDUALITY COMES FROM OUR SPIRITUAL STRENGTH
\nWhen we are confident in who we are, we are capable of being our best self.\u00a0 We are daughters of a loving Heavenly Father.\u00a0 There are certain things required of each of us to be accomplished as a group and as individuals.\u00a0 Sometimes our selfish desires get in the way of finding out, and acting on, these responsibilities.\u00a0 If we really understood what Heavenly Father has in store for us, we would prioritize our lives differently.\u00a0 We would be unique individuals relying more on one another\u2019s strengths, because we recognize we are all daughters with a place in our Father\u2019s heart.
\nThe scriptures have the answers to life.\u00a0 If you were to set up a study plan that fits your interest and schedule, you would discover these answers.\u00a0 Certain verses will hit you in a loving way and become your source for strength.\u00a0 Knowing answers will give you power.\u00a0 Understanding what the Atonement means to you will help you to use it more in your life and overcome life\u2019s difficulties.\u00a0 By studying the scriptures, you will know how loved you are.
\nThe Relief Society is not just a Sunday lesson.\u00a0 Although, when you come to class, having read the lesson beforehand, your understanding will be quickened, and your experiences will come to light for the helping of others seeking light and knowledge.
\nStudy groups are not encouraged in Relief Society activities.\u00a0 I have often wondered why.\u00a0 Yes, I know in the past some groups have gotten off base and caused concern and worry for groups in general.\u00a0 But many sisters feel uncomfortable in a classroom environment, where they might flourish in a small group of friends.\u00a0 For those who sincerely want to learn points of doctrine, I would hope arrangements could be made to teach, build confidence, and gather strength from knowing the gospel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
