When summer comes around it\u2019s hard to tell the difference between the Mormons and the non-Mormons.\u00a0 They dress alike.<\/p>\n
Our young women wear as little clothing as possible.\u00a0 Or else they dress pretty grungy to their church meetings.\u00a0 Our society is very casual, and in order to fit in we have relaxed our own standards.\u00a0 But haven\u2019t we been taught not to?\u00a0 Aren\u2019t we reminded constantly to raise our standards, to be a light unto the world, to be a peculiar people?\u00a0 Some of our youth are not living up to that call.\u00a0 Some of our mothers aren\u2019t either.<\/p>\n
How do you teach this principle without hurting feelings?\u00a0 How do you fix the problem?\u00a0 Example is a big part of it.\u00a0 Teaching by the Spirit is too.\u00a0 Modesty clearly can\u2019t be overemphasized.\u00a0 There should be a reminder lesson on it every Spring in both Young Women\u2019s and Relief Society, or better yet, both together.<\/p>\n
