Some are bitter and some are wistful. Write your feelings, but do your best to keep it light, positive, and teaching, like these words from an older man who took the class in my mother&#8217;s ward:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I would have tried to meet my wife sooner.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I would have been more sensitive to the needs of my mother as my father sat silent for ten years after a stroke.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I would have learned to play the piano.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I would have controlled my fat intake.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I would have reduced the number of hours I played, and instead used that time reading the great books from great authors.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I would have learned another language, and mastered the English language better.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I would have continued my education.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I would have written a journal acknowledging the Lord\u2019s hand in my life, all of my blessings, and all of the people that influenced me.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I would have guarded my health better, resting occasionally instead of pushing, pushing, pushing.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">I would have spent time each day in study of the scriptures from the very day I learned to read.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">You may want to create your own list, or write an essay, or explain an event. It\u2019s your history, do what speaks to you.
