Why is it that those who serve in the Primary or Young Women\u2019s, upon release, say they have to get used to Relief Society?\u00a0 It\u2019s because Relief Society has become a SUNDAY ONLY organization.<\/p>\n
Why do Stay-At-Home moms feel like they don\u2019t achieve much?\u00a0 Because the Relief Society may not be functioning properly in fulfilling their needs.<\/p>\n
Moms say their children take all their time.\u00a0 That may be absolutely true, but, in fact, it is the world that takes up their time in the guise of their children, and whatever else they would rather choose to spend their time.\u00a0 Relief Society should be providing training, intellectual stimulation, productive activity, socialization, etc.\u00a0 during every week.<\/p>\n
A working woman is often too tired to be involved in Relief Society.\u00a0 Unfortunately\/Fortunately, you are still Relief Society, so you need to recognize that you are still a part of this inspired organization.<\/p>\n
A sister should wake up every morning and be thinking:\u00a0 What are we sisters doing today?\u00a0 Who can I visit today?\u00a0 What should I be planning for our next meeting?\u00a0 What am I involved in today?<\/p>\n
It doesn\u2019t matter what organization you serve in, all of us should be up and about serving the Lord, and each other, daily.<\/p>\n
Sure, this takes a tremendous amount of organization.\u00a0 That\u2019s why we are all taught to delegate.\u00a0 Everyone needs to be involved, given an assignment, made to feel indispensible.\u00a0 When all are involved in something good, the work load is light, happy, energetic, and fulfilling.<\/p>\n
I say to the Relief Society:\u00a0 Please involve more people in your organization.\u00a0 Offer activities, goals, challenges, training, etc.\u00a0 Reach out to people who are shy, new, in other organizations, old, young, in need of a visit, in need of involvement, you only see on Sunday, etc.\u00a0 Make Relief Society work every single day.<\/p>\n
I say to those Relief Society sisters serving in the Primary or Young Women:\u00a0 Please don\u2019t forget who you are-you are a member of the Relief Society.\u00a0 If sisters aren\u2019t reaching out to you, reach out to them.\u00a0 Volunteer yourself. Bring along the young women. You be the one to invite sisters to help you with a project or activity. Go to the activities already planned. The Relief Society needs you and you need Relief Society.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
