do to prepare.\u00a0 We\u2019ve done a little here and there, but now is the time to really look at what we\u2019ve learned.\u00a0 There are several websites and blogs with helpful tips and ideas that will get us going in the right direction.<\/p>\n<p>Parents should be organizing themselves.\u00a0 They should be talking to their kids to get them on board.\u00a0 They should be providing everything in their power to create a safe haven for their families.<\/p>\n<p>We should be asking ourselves certain questions:\u00a0\u00a0 What can I live without?\u00a0 If I lost my job today, what would jump to the top of my priority list?\u00a0 How much storage do I have?\u00a0 What am I willing to begin making from scratch, or reuse, or redo?<\/p>\n<p>The following are sites I have found that are do NOW, plus she gives tons of hints and tips free.\u00a0 Sign up for her free newsletter and you are not going to be sorry.<\/li>\n<li>www.solutionsforpreparedness.com \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Barbara really knows her stuff.\u00a0 \u00a0She will help you understand the lifestyle of a prepared life for all levels of preparedness.<\/li>\n<li>www.ready.gov\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This is the national site from Homeland Security<\/li>\n<li>www.myfoodstoragedeals.blogspot.com\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Some people just like to share their good information.\u00a0 You\u2019ll find tips here on practical everyday low-budget living<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I love the Internet.\u00a0 All you have to do is search for budgeting, food storage, preparedness, etc.\u00a0 and you can find tons of information that will help you organize yourself, and even realize what needs to be organized.<\/p>\n<p>Relief Society provides a level of organization on this all-important topic.\u00a0 Networking plays a vital role in an economic lifestyle.\u00a0 By setting goals, knowledge, feedback, and organization, sisters can help each other greatly.<\/p>\n<p>Here are just some thoughts you\u00a0might consider:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Am I\u00a0prepared to leave\u00a0my home in a hurry and run to a \u201csafe place\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Am I\u00a0living within\u00a0my regular budget on a regular basis?<\/li>\n<li>Do\u00a0I know how to feed\u00a0my family at the lowest possible expense?<\/li>\n<li>Do\u00a0I know where items are, in\u00a0my home, that will bring\u00a0me comfort and security when\u00a0my life and safety is threatened?<\/li>\n<li>What do\u00a0I have in\u00a0my home right now?<\/li>\n<li>Why should\u00a0I worry about the future?<\/li>\n<li>What skills can I learn that will help my family save money, provide security, and necessities?<\/li>\n<li>Who\u2019s responsibility is it to protect me and my family?<\/li>\n<li>Who do I know who can add their skills to mine to provide security and safety?<\/li>\n<li>How can I live my life daily, wi\u00a0\u00a0th the proper mentality, to provide a safe haven for my family?<\/li>\n<li>How can I get out of debt, and stay out of debt?<\/li>\n<li>How do I keep myself employable?<\/li>\n<li>What food preparations can we practice now, that will shortcut, reserve, maintain health, etc.?<\/li>\n<li>How do I keep my family ready consistently over a long period of time?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These are questions that a wise Relief Society President will think about and provide guidance, networking, and support to the sisters she
