Let\u2019s look at the word prophets as it appears in Hebrew (reading right to left):<\/p>\n

\u05e0\u05d1\u05d9\u05d0\u05d9\u05dd<\/p>\n

This is the plural form of the word prophet, because I really like the additional symbolism of the plural form. In the middle of the word is the Aleph, \u05d0 , which is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet and it represents God. On both sides of the Aleph are the two Yud\u2019s, \u05d9 , which represent the Hands of God, both His right and left hands. The last character is a Mem, \u05dd , which represents the world. The second letter is a Bet, \u05d1 , which represents the House of God as well as His Blessing. Finally the first letter of the word prophets in Hebrew is the Nun, \u05e0 , which represents the prophet\u2019s royal heir, calling or priesthood.<\/p>\n

Hence, prophets in Hebrew symbolically mean that he literally represents God with his two hands both in the world as well as in His church, house and temple. He is literally called of God and has been given God\u2019s royal priesthood in order to represent Him in the world and in His church. That is a perfect description of God\u2019s prophets.<\/p>\n

The word in singular form would leave out the last Yud and Mem.\u00a0\u00a0I like the plural which brings out the two hands of God.<\/p>\n
