song, a gossip conversation, etc.<br \/>\n2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Clean out your closet of immodest clothing.<br \/>\n3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Shop for modest swimsuits\u2014ask the store manager to order some modestware.<br \/>\n4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Study lyrics to favorite songs\u2014discuss what is appropriate listening material.<br \/>\n5)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Give an overview of political issues, bills coming up to vote, rights being revoked.\u00a0 There will surely come a time when we need to know how to stand up for righteous principles in the political arena.<br \/>\n6)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Challenge everyone to pay tithing and a generous fast offering.\u00a0 Discuss what constitutes tithing; why is it important to temple attendance?\u00a0 Discuss blessings that come from paying both.<br \/>\n7)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Movie Night\u2014discuss what is appropriate.\u00a0 Pick and watch something appropriate together.<br \/>\n8)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Learn tricks on how to avoid porn emails, websites, text messages, etc.<br \/>\n9)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Challenge everyone to not gossip for a week, or more:\u00a0 Walk away, say something positive about the person instead, build up everyone you speak with, etc.<br \/>\n10)\u00a0\u00a0 Hold a day activity for children at a homeless shelter or women\u2019s center.\u00a0 Play games, boost their confidence, create art, music, dance, etc.<br \/>\n11)\u00a0\u00a0 Have a discussion on what are \u201cfun\u201d time-wasters, and what are inspirational moral boosters\u2014compare the feelings of worth.<br \/>\n12)\u00a0\u00a0 A Virtuous woman is smart.\u00a0 She knows how to feed her family at the best possible price-homecooked or killer sales.\u00a0 She knows how to manage her money.\u00a0 She knows how to dress, present herself, and address people in the best, most feminine way, and she\u2019s gracious.\u00a0 She knows what she wants, where she\u2019s going, and how to get there.\u00a0 She is always kind, patient, and helpful.\u00a0 She thinks of others always.\u00a0 She is knowledgeable, street smart, and feminine.<br \/>\n13)\u00a0\u00a0 Visit a care center with some musical numbers, read to patients, or just let them talk to you.\u00a0 Make a habit of it.<br \/>\n14)\u00a0\u00a0 Hold a dance\u2014send invitations to the boys, check appropriate music (or pick a style of music to dance to [polka, anyone?], dress up, use appropriate etiquette.\u00a0 (You\u2019ll have to spell things out for the boys.)<br \/>\n15)\u00a0\u00a0 Have a discussion on how women are treated around the world\u2014is it protection or imprisonment?\u00a0 How does every woman deserve to be treated?<br \/>\n16)\u00a0\u00a0 Have a career night.\u00a0 Discuss best colleges, majors, school programs.\u00a0 Share hopes and dreams.\u00a0 Foster a good attitude toward education and continuous learning.<br \/>\n17)\u00a0\u00a0 Discuss confidence-not make-up\/outer beauty-but inner beauty.\u00a0 Do the girls like each other, can they depend on one another.\u00a0 Do they know each other well enough.\u00a0 Have a big boost of confidence night.<br \/>\n18)\u00a0\u00a0 Discuss usage of language:\u00a0 polite words, quick comebacks (bad turned good), bad words, appropriate substitute words, appropriate words used in prayer, addressing adults, uplifting others.<br \/>\n19)\u00a0\u00a0 Decide now to NOT \u201chook-up\u201d with a boyfriend in high school.\u00a0 Wait till college.<br \/>\n20)\u00a0\u00a0 After discussing various principles, make your own commitments.\u00a0 Create a wallhanging or pillow where these commitments can be viewed every day.\u00a0 Make it as individual and beautiful as you are.<br \/>\n21)\u00a0\u00a0 Talk about abuse and its many forms.\u00a0 Learn to recognize it, avoid it, stop it.<br \/>\n22)\u00a0\u00a0 Learn the accounts of women in the scriptures.\u00a0 Have each girl study in depth one of these women, then share what they learned.\u00a0 What made her strong?\u00a0 What did she dare to do?\u00a0 What could have held her back, but didn\u2019t?\u00a0 Why do I admire her?<br \/>\n23)\u00a0\u00a0 Look for examples of being cheerful\/faithful when things get difficult:\u00a0 Health, Unemployment, Poverty, Depression, Loss of loved ones.<br \/>\n24)\u00a0\u00a0 Review Temple Recommend questions-single them out for longer discussions.\u00a0 Tie in with Alma Chapter 5.<br \/>\n25)\u00a0\u00a0 Discuss what makes a good person stand out.\u00a0 Go to the mall, or any crowd, and watch for good\/wholesome people, people who compromise themselves, people who don\u2019t seem to care.\u00a0 What differences do you see?\u00a0 How do clothes speak for the person?\u00a0 Hygiene, hair, expressions, attitudes, company, etc.<br \/>\n26)\u00a0\u00a0 Practice ways to be a leader, not a follower.\u00a0 Practice how to lead a conversation, not be lead by questionable conversation.\u00a0 Learn how to make a stand without sounding self-righteous, but confident.<br \/>\n27)\u00a0\u00a0 The art of etiquette has been lost\u2014and is a real loss to our society.\u00a0 Invite someone to review clothing, action, language, manners, and presentation.<br \/>\n28)\u00a0\u00a0 Commit to only work at a place that closes on Sundays, or ask for Sunday off, and even for Monday evenings.\u00a0 Stand firm on this policy.<br \/>\n29)\u00a0\u00a0 Have an attitude of random gratitude.\u00a0 Have a contest:\u00a0 Who can show the most gratitude, in a set period of time, in the most varied of ways, to the most family, friends and strangers?<br \/>\n30)\u00a0\u00a0 Commit to belong to the Worldwide Young Women Army, who will be kind, helpful, and virtuous in all places, in all things, and in all ways.<br \/>\n31)\u00a0\u00a0 Learn how to clean out your soul.\u00a0 Think honestly how you feel about yourself, your life, your loved ones, your future.\u00a0 Learn to deal with issues, don\u2019t let them canker.\u00a0 Write feelings down in a journal.\u00a0 Forgive.\u00a0 Ask for forgiveness.\u00a0 Think positive thoughts.\u00a0 Be grateful.\u00a0 Protect yourself.\u00a0 Talk to someone.<br \/>\n32)\u00a0\u00a0 Be yourself\u2014but be your best self.\u00a0 You are not a faker, a puppet, weak, obnoxious.\u00a0 You are you and the gods love you.<br \/>\n33)\u00a0\u00a0 Discuss what every woman is responsible for: her actions, her life, her happiness, her attitude, etc.\u00a0\u00a0 It hurts emotionally to shirk responsibility.\u00a0 Live honestly and hold your head up high.<br \/>\n34)\u00a0\u00a0 Hold discussions while doing something productive: canning jams, washing dishes, crocheting, gardening,
