Eubank brought up, again, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lds.org\/general-conference\/1979\/10\/the-role-of-righteous-women?lang=eng\">that quote<\/a> from Pres. Kimball telling us of the influence we, as the Relief Society sisters, can have on the world. The fact that this prophecy is being referred to so many times tells me we need to pay attention and change. We were reminded that God is depending on us to be RIGHTEOUS, be DIFFERENT, be DISTINCT, \u00a0and to be HAPPY while we\u2019re doing it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.ldswomenofgod.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/relief-society-mormon.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-9150 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.ldswomenofgod.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/relief-society-mormon-300x225.jpg?resize=300%2C225\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.reliefsocietywomen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/relief-society-mormon.jpg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.reliefsocietywomen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/relief-society-mormon.jpg?resize=768%2C576&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.reliefsocietywomen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/relief-society-mormon.jpg?w=800&amp;ssl=1 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The idea of \u201crepairing the breach,\u201d I thought, was so profound. Sis. Marriott said sin and pride cause a breach between us and God. We need to learn to do things \u201cHis way, instead of pridefully asserting our own will.\u201d That is a tough call, but deep down we know what that looks like, and we have all been called to repentance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In defining the words worth and worthiness, Sis. Jones explained, \u201cThey are not the same. Spiritual worth means to value ourselves the way Heavenly Father values us, not as the world values us. Our worth was determined before we ever came to this earth. On the other hand, worthiness is achieved through obedience. If we sin, we are less worthy, but we are never worth less.\u201d Our worth is intrinsic, our worthiness is our choice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">President Uchtdorf talked about three types of attitudes: The sad person is always going to be a victim of her circumstances. The hater will always find something to complain about. But the glad person is the \u201cauthentic disciple.\u201d What an interesting description, using a worldly term&#8211;being one\u2019s \u201cauthentic self\u201d&#8211;in a spiritual way. We are REAL when we are truly glad, grateful, and genuine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.ldswomenofgod.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Womens-Session13-March2017-resized.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-9166\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.ldswomenofgod.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Womens-Session13-March2017-resized-300x169.jpg?resize=300%2C169\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.reliefsocietywomen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Womens-Session13-March2017-resized.jpg?resize=300%2C169&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.reliefsocietywomen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Womens-Session13-March2017-resized.jpg?resize=768%2C432&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.reliefsocietywomen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Womens-Session13-March2017-resized.jpg?w=960&amp;ssl=1 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All of these talks reminded me that I have a responsibility. In this extremely busy life, we are all living, we can\u2019t escape the responsibility of being the daughters of our Heavenly Father. He has a work for us to do outside of the daily grind we are living. The end of the world is fast approaching. If we aren\u2019t figuring out how to be His daughters, strengthening ourselves and one another while bringing others into the fold, we will be left behind. And no one wants that, especially our Father in heaven or our Savior, Jesus Christ.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is on our shoulders to do His work, to perform His will, and to be happy while doing it.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I hope you were filled, like I was, after hearing the Women\u2019s Conference last night. &nbsp; Sis.
