{"id":9521,"date":"2018-04-02T20:00:26","date_gmt":"2018-04-03T02:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ldswomenofgod.com\/?p=9521"},"modified":"2018-04-04T14:32:12","modified_gmt":"2018-04-04T20:32:12","slug":"general-conference-april-2018-wow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.reliefsocietywomen.com\/blog\/2018\/04\/02\/general-conference-april-2018-wow\/","title":{"rendered":"General Conference April 2018: WOW!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">WOW!!!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Revelation to ponder for days!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Let me just say, right off the top, I sustain Pres. Russell M. Nelson as the prophet of the LDS church. And I believe he hasn\u2019t done anything any other prophet would have done. In fact, everything has clearly been lining up for this change. It just so happens that Pres. Nelson has become the \u201cchange-agent.\u201d I love that he didn\u2019t wait for a good time, or for things to calm down, or for people to get used to him. He fearlessly let inspiration lead the way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">He has set the example for all of us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The biggest, most loud-and-clear message I learned during conference<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u00a0is that I must seek<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.ldswomenofgod.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/moving-compassionate-service-packing-669389-gallery.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-9174\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.ldswomenofgod.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/moving-compassionate-service-packing-669389-gallery-300x200.jpg?resize=300%2C200\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.reliefsocietywomen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/moving-compassionate-service-packing-669389-gallery.jpg?resize=300%2C200&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.reliefsocietywomen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/moving-compassionate-service-packing-669389-gallery.jpg?w=664&amp;ssl=1 664w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> after my own personal revelation and act upon it over and over again until it becomes an integral part of me.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Our church and calling traditions are often based on what we are comfortable doing. We often settle on what our predecessors did, or simply keep everything safe and status quo. We have been told clearly, without any doubt, that the Lord is in charge. We must all become \u201cchange-agents.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Where General Conference gave us a WOW! moment,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">let each of our wards become WOW! wards. We have been given clear direction. Now we must use inspiration to do the rest and we will see for ourselves how the Lord works miracles among us. WOW!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">And a side note: We witnessed several things that should be interpreted as miracles, especially the announcement of a temple being built in Russia. (Just think about that for a minute!!!!) Let\u2019s take some time to digest these announcements as true miracles. The Lord has spoken. The Lord\u2019s hand is upon His church. We are the Lord\u2019s hands. We must press forward on the covenant path. As Pres. Nelson said, \u201cIt is our right to have the spirit every day of our lives.\u201d By seeking the spirit, we will increase our spiritual capacity.
