If we are waiting for a brick to fall on our heads to signal the Second Coming of the Lord, this is it. If we aren\u2019t reviewing the talks that were given, may we reconsider and take another look at our assignments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The first day of conference\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ldswomenofgod.com\/2018\/08\/06\/see-that-ye-do-them\/?frame-nonce=4410362f44\">here<\/a>. Below is the Priesthood session.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lds.org\/general-conference\/2018\/04\/what-every-aaronic-priesthood-holder-needs-to-understand?lang=eng\">Douglas D. Holmes\u00a0 Aaronic Priesthood Holders<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Young boys were told specifically that they have power given to them. Those 12-18-year-old boys can call down the powers of heaven. Just think about that!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lds.org\/general-conference\/2018\/04\/introductory-remarks?lang=eng\">Russell M. Nelson\u00a0 Introduction of Changes<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Men are now combined into one Elders Quorum. He used the words \u201cwe have felt a pressing need to improve the way we care for our members.\u201d These are important words.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lds.org\/general-conference\/2018\/04\/the-elders-quorum?lang=eng\">D. Todd Christofferson The Elders Quorum<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">He also said, \u201cWe have felt a pressing need to improve the way we care for our members.\u201d What are they telling us? The Brethren have made a dramatic change in church structure, but what is the real change they are asking of us?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lds.org\/general-conference\/2018\/04\/behold-a-royal-army?lang=eng\">Ronald A. Rasband\u00a0 A Royal Army<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Are we sensing an urgency in this change? The structure between men and women has been simplified in order to work more in harmony so that the bishops can focus more on the youth. The Brethren are seriously organizing \u201cA Royal Army\u201d that we are all a part of.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lds.org\/general-conference\/2018\/04\/inspired-ministering?lang=eng\">Henry B. Eyring\u00a0 Inspired Ministering<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The title says it all. This isn\u2019t just ministering. \u201cWhen we are engaged in service to others, we think less about ourselves, and the Holy Ghost can more readily come to us and help us in our lifelong quest to have the gift of charity.\u201d Action! Service! Ministering! And bring the spirit with you!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lds.org\/general-conference\/2018\/04\/the-powers-of-the-priesthood?lang=eng\">Dallin H. Oaks\u00a0 The Powers of the Priesthood<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">He says it\u2019s time to magnify the powers of the priesthood. What does that mean? How do we go about doing that? What can women do to help?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lds.org\/general-conference\/2018\/04\/ministering-with-the-power-and-authority-of-god?lang=eng\">Russell M. Nelson\u00a0 Ministering with Power and Authority<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">What is power from God?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">How does it work?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Why do we need it?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Our prophet was very specific in teaching us that we must gain God\u2019s power, then use God\u2019s power with proper authority. Both men and women must move forward with the help of the spirit. How are we to use the power and authority of the priesthood to minister to people? This deserves some serious contemplation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">How are Quorums and Relief Society presidencies doing with the ending of this first quarter since the announcement? Are interviews in place? Is your organization in place? The Brethren speak of urgency. Are we moving forward in this work?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">As individuals assigned to minister, are we explaining our intent to the brothers and sisters we are ministering to? Are we asking them what they want, what they need? Are we letting the spirit teach us about them?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">An army is not casual in its intent.
